Thermo Block has the water heated in a multi channel metal block with an exterior element. This differs from the limited water volume of most domestic espresso machine. These other machines make the temperature very unstable, which in turn makes it extremely difficult to achieve a good espresso shot. Thermo Block uses the pump to pulse small bursts of water into the superheated block. It’s kind of like heating with a precision blowtorch instead of bonfire – the torch gives more direct heat.

The Briel ED171APG-TB draws on 1,600 Watts of power, one of the strongest heating elements in the domestic espresso machine market. This gives you hot water to prepare your coffee much faster than most other machines that use a 900 Watt boiler. The hot water is utilized through the patented Auto Espresso Flow™, a microchip controlled timing switch that allows you to pre-select the amount of espresso flowing to your cup.

Combining this microchip with the Crema Master™ filter means that your espresso cappuccino maker produces a consistent brew. Full flavor and extraction are achieved with the Briel Space Saver Multi–Pro’s 18 BAR pump pressure and filter which can alter between coffee pod or ground coffee.
